A Brief History

Where I'm From

f

Upon graduating from high school, I received a full tuition scholarship to the Cleveland Institute of Art based on merit and portfolio. My college career was split between two locations - I spent my first and last year of college at the Cleveland Institute of Art – focusing on technical skill - and the second and third year at the Maryland Institute College of Art – focusing on conceptual ideas. During this time, I studied a variety of fields, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and anthropology. Upon graduating from CIA in 1998 and earning my bachelor’s degree in drawing, I traveled Europe for two months before taking my first job as a graphic designer. During this time, I learned about the industry standards and technology involved in creating corporate identities from concept to final product. A little over a year later, I decided to move back to my hometown and pursue a more challenging career.
