A Brief Work History

2000 - 2012

From 2000 through 2002, using Flash 5 and 3D Studio Max, I developed a body of content for our e-learning Content Management System, ACE(Active Content Engine), which taught mechanics and installers how to maintain and install the Crisplant loop sorter system (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/sortris.htm) which was specifically designed for Target Department stores. During this time, I also designed, developed and deployed Logilearn's public website, which was my first professional website. (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/web.htm#Logi). I also designed the graphics for our ACE e-learning engine using Photoshop, Freehand, and Illustrator. (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/logiAssets.htm#A)

From 2003 through 2004, I developed a second body of content for our e-learning system that taught mechanics how to maintain and install our sister companies' machinery (conveyor systems and line sorters). This body of content was used within the distribution centers of clients like Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, and many others, and is still used today as part of an integrated training program for new mechanics and installers. During this time, I also maintained and upgraded our website as necessay, implemented graphic changes to our e-learning engine, and produced sales presentations used for project acquisitions for our parent company, Crisplant, as well as our sister companies using Flash, Director, Authorware, and 3D Studio Max.

From 2004 through 2006, using Flash MX and 3D Studio Max, I developed a third body of content for use within our generation two e-learning system that served to subsidize a GED knowledge base. This content was delivered to Target Department stores, as well as other clients such as Wal-Mart and Amazon and is now used thoughout the Target enterprise. This content provides knowledge on everything from the Basics of Electricity to the Basics of Electronics, from PLC (programmable logic controllers) controls to computer systems, from basic HVAC knowledge to the basics of mathematics. This enterprise solution has been used by thousands of people within Target and is continually used on a daily basis within the department stores. (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/logiAssets.htm#P) During this time, Logilearn was aquired by FKI Logistex, and I developed our new website when we became FKI Logistex Learning Services. (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/web.htm#FKI)

From 2007 through 2009, I worked as an emulation engineer within FKI Logistex/Intelligrated. Using Automod and programming in C, as well as Automod's proprietary language, I produced computer-based emulations of the specific loop sorter system which was currently being installed on site, which allowed the Software Controls engineers to plug their code into the emulation via PLC connections and test out their code in-house before deploying it out to the field. The Controls Engineers used to spend months out in the field debugging the code; with the availability of this new emulation system, the engineers reduced their field time from months to weeks. It was a win-win situation; I had a challenging job and they got to spend more time with their families. During this time, I produced dozens of emulations while traveling to Denmark every six months or so to work with my Danish counterparts on massive emulation systems. During this time, I also supported the e-learning needs of various clients(internal and external) and managed the completion and support of FKI Logistex' e-learning needs and content development. Thoughout my career with Logilearn/FKI Logistex/Intelligrated, I produced 3D visualizations of various environments for use as sales presentations, typically when we had a model for the proposal, we got the project. In January of 2010, I joined SIMmersion and became their conent delivery expert, creating front end interfaces using Flash, Actionscript 3 xml, and 3D Studio Max to deliver content to clients (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/JAG.htm). I also assisted in developing their in-houuse content management system, as well as their public website (http://www.stylegeneric.com/Projects/web.htm#Sim).
